The spells used are determined by which colored section on each disc is closest to Seymour: orange for fire-elemental, purple for ice-elemental, blue for water-elemental, and yellow for lightning-elemental. On his turn, he will cast four elemental spells in succession on the player party, targeting each party member once and a random party member for the fourth spell if any party members are KO'd, Seymour will only cast 2~3 spells. Seymour Omnis hovers in front of four large discs called Mortiphasms. ![]() Try to stock up on mega potions from highbridge drops and try to fight through it.Fira, Thundara, Blizzara, Watera, Firaga, Thundaga, Blizzaga, Waterga, Dispel, Ultima Battle Would take a lot of recovery items and huge amount of patience, but can make even Yuna and Rikku and Tidus and other squishy characters tank a meteor, and lasts until they are KOd. Other than that my last recommendation would be running an extremely slow first phase and using mixes to give people Vitality, which doubles max HP, randomly applied but it only takes 2 hi-potions. Try to shell anybody in the party who has low max HP so if they are targeted by Seymour they don't instantly die. If you are still struggling with that, you can precharge aeon overdrives and cycle through them during the haste phase to get through it even faster.īefore the haste phase just keep everyone alive so you don't lose buffs, and prioritize remedies on provokes and softs on petrification, as someone being shattered in the first phase is an instant reset. In the haste phase, try your very best to stay alive with mega potions and slowly burn him down, using your overdrives (especially from Tidus and Auron with Cheer and Talk bonuses). The general strategy I followed is to pick 4 characters to buff (I highly recommend Rikku, Tidus, and Auron, and Yuna - Auron for health pool to survive Meteors and hit pretty damn hard, and the other three for utility and to get as many turns as possible during the haste phase.) and give them all 5x Cheer (very important, Meteor is physical), 5x focus, and on Auron at least 3 uses of Aim, hopefully 5 if you have time to make sure he stops missing. I went full turtle mode trying to keep up and he lost it. ![]() Some of the fights have changed rendering his methods essentially null.ĮDIT: forgot to add his Haste buff will eventually wear off. This is coming from a dude that's beaten Penance on this mod earlier in November lol.Īlso, I wouldn't really recommend relying on Dansg08 videos. Load up on buffs, hope they don't use their unavoidable damage moves, use healing items (since spells suck) 95% of the time, and use the attack command the other 5%. It's one thing I didn't like about the mod, since every boss fight is the exact same formula. And even then, sometimes you just won't be able to until you get Def 20% or Mdef 20%. The enemy stat boosts are such that you absolutely need them to survive attacks. If you're not going to level (and even if you did, it generally won't help much due to how much he's nerfed the grid), then you absolutely need to get used to Cheer/Focus x5 and Protect/Shell in every fight.
